Golden, buttery garlic bread topped with gooey, melted cheese and baked until crispy and bubbling. The perfect side dish for pasta, soup, or appetizers.

Ingredients

  • 1 large French or Italian loaf

  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened

  • 34 garlic cloves, minced

  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder (optional)

  • to 2 cups shredded cheese (mozzarella, cheddar, Parmesan blend)

  • Pinch of salt

  • Optional: red pepper flakes, oregano

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line baking sheet with foil.

  • Cut bread lengthwise or into thick slices.

  • Mix butter, garlic, parsley, salt, and optional garlic powder.

  • Spread butter mixture on bread. Top with cheese blend.

  • Bake 10–12 minutes until cheese is melted. Broil 1–2 minutes for golden top.

  • Slice and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use a cheese blend for best flavor

  • Broil at the end for a bubbly finish
