1 large French or Italian loaf
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
3–4 garlic cloves, minced
2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
1/4 tsp garlic powder (optional)
1½ to 2 cups shredded cheese (mozzarella, cheddar, Parmesan blend)
Pinch of salt
Optional: red pepper flakes, oregano
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line baking sheet with foil.
Cut bread lengthwise or into thick slices.
Mix butter, garlic, parsley, salt, and optional garlic powder.
Spread butter mixture on bread. Top with cheese blend.
